Tom and Sandy Hendrickson recently visited Tanzania to spend time with staff and members of Iringa Hope. This month’s newsletter is a detailed report of their visit.
As Iringa Hope enters its 15th year, the organization has been reviewing its operating model to ensure that it can continue to make a difference in the lives of our members. The pandemic created huge challenges and, although many of our SACCOS and AMCOS are thriving, some are still struggling to recover. Some of the changes to address these challenges include new staff members and new ways to provide agricultural supplies and financing – such as the creation of a micro finance bank.
Tom and Sandy had a wonderful and productive visit and we are grateful for their continued dedication to the people of Tanzania!
